BILAL (R.A)

بِسۡمِ ٱللهِ ٱلرَّحۡمَـٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ


Abu Hurairah, may Allah be pleased with him, reported:
Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon him) said to Bilal: Bilal, tell me which act you did in Islam for which you hope to receive good reward, for I heard during the night the sound of your steps before me in Paradise. Bilal said: I did not do any act in Islam for which I hope to get any benefit except that whenever I perform ablution properly during the night or day I observe the Prayer with that purification what Allah has ordained for me to pray.

jazakallah very important lesson. i just wanted to share with you all a fact about bilal. i heard it in a lecture. you know how in the movie the message bilal is portrayed as the dark skinned slave- well he wasn't actually dark skinned like in the movie. he was very very light skinned and had smooth hair.
PS: i know some of you might think i'm after light skin, no i'm not. i'm just clarifying something that was portrayed in the way which it was not.
