Nigeria's military junta had given France's ambassador in the capital Niamey 48 hours to leave the country. The deadline has passed and the ambassador is still in Nigeria. The junta has reportedly shut off the water & electricity to the French embassy in the capital. The military leadership has also given an ultimatum to the 1,500 troops French stationed at a base in Nigeria. They have 10 days to leave the country.
