A day after dashing Spanish bullfighter Julio Aparicio showed his dominance by cutting the ears off two vanquished bulls, one of their bovine brothers got revenge last week by gruesomely impaling the matador through his throat and out his mouth.

As Aparicio held his red cape and sword out to face down the 1,100-pound beast named Opiparo at the Feria de San Isidor bullfighting event in Las Ventanas, Spain, the bullfighter lost his footing and the bull was able to strike.
"[The horn] went though the tongue and penetrated the roof of the mouth, fracturing the jawbone," one of the medics who worked on Aparicio told AFP news in Madrid.

The Seville native, a member of a well-known family of matadors, was in grave condition but expected to survive.

The question is it seems bit funny when many people watch over at the cost of two lives. why they promo such traditions ? the same case is with WWE'/WWF/ boxing.

That's right and that is all about the Spanish's bull fight law that if the bull were to injured the matador the bull have to go down(die)They had been practice this for years!
Anyway the bull's meat didn't go to waste, they sell it off to interested buyer just outside the butcher house,and there's many believe me
They were all kind of actually playing with the bull first, before slaughtering it.It some kind of playing with food before consuming it

If the bull injures or not it has to be killed, as much I know.example of In humane, open torture. another game (!) they have is crushing the heaps of tomatoes with their legs, hands, body. In turn tons of tomatoes wasted doing so when people are craving for food in world.

But in Spanish's bull fight law as far as i concerned knowing, that if no one is injured the next matador will challenge the bull, until some matador got hurt then they killed the bull for good reason(FOR IT MEAT)other then that they will fight it with all their might It could be maybe the Spanish people have love for bull ie: like bull are hard working in field and they have no heart to slaughter it for nothing so picking up in this kind of game got them reason to eat it up.

The bullfighting I had the displeasure of witnessing as a child was hardly considered "playing." They basically use these lances and injure the bull over and over again, the bull is bleeding profusely by the end of the match. Once the bull is tired and can't fight anymore the matador stabs the bull through the chest into the heart.

Bullfighting is haram in Islam as well as eating the meat, I would hardly consider it a halaal method of slaughter. It is neither merciful or correct. I think the matador got his just deserves and wish every bull would kill them in this fashion.

Very true!
Obviously coming from the holy qur'an such game is not to be practise and

haram to make as a tradition for muslims let alone eating it meat from animal that

already dead before being slaughter in the name of Allah swt is forbidden in Islam.

This Spanish bull fight is tradition to them and they are not muslim
some even fight with lion,tiger and many dangerous animal for living or games they adopt as sport or just for the fun of it,It kind of tradition games to them back from the time of the Roman empire if you notice.
so this thread is coming from what happen and people do world wide.Just for the knowledge of it nothing more
