Seeking Allah's Mercy
Qul HuwaAllahu Ahud!
:salam2:wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuhu. . .
hope everyone is in the best of health and imaan...
i've got a Question regarding something that we here, call "iddat". i'm not sure what it's called in Arabic. i'm talking about the period of four months in which a muslim women has to stay in her house, going out only incase of extreme necessity, after her husbands dies.
so that, i mean iddat, my aunty was at her in laws in the village when her husband was rested in his grave. Her in laws are not exactly friendly creatures and she and her brothers want her as far away from them as possible. Now that the only hindrance(her husband) is out of the way, they want that done.
she's planning to shift to her house after eid and complete this four month period there. living with her sons and younger brother.can she??
living with her in laws also mean she'll constantly have to come in front of her Brother in laws.so that is also one of the contributing factors of her decision.
so what's the islamic ruling on this?? i heard that the woman has to stay in the house from where her husband's body is taken out.
Jazakallah khair.
