Trim the moustache and save the beard. [Al-Bukhari and
Muslim] It is haraam (forbidden)for women to imitate men and men to imitate women in the way they dress, because the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) cursed the men who imitate women and the women who imitate men.” Narrated by al-Bukhaari, 5546.

It was narrated from ‘Abd-Allaah ibn Mas’ood that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “No one will enter Paradise in whose heart is a mustard-seed of arrogance.” A man said: “What if a man likes his clothes to look nice and his shoes to look nice?” He said: “Allaah is Beautiful and loves beauty; arrogance means rejecting the truth and looking down on people.”

Narrated by Muslim, 91.

It is haraam for the Muslim man to let any garment he wears hang down beneath his ankles (an action known as isbaal); the limit for any garment is the ankles.

It was narrated from Abu Hurayrah (may Allaah be pleased with him) that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said; “Whatever of the lower garment is beneath the ankles is in the Fire.”

Narrated by al-Bukhaari, 5450.

“Gold and silk have been permitted for the females of my ummah, and forbidden for the males.”

Items died with saffron dye Narrated Anas: The Prophet forbade men to use saffron. (Book #72, Hadith #737)

Oh, and one of the most important rules and perhaps one of the most overlooked (after lowering the gaze): Be distinct and do not resemble the unbelievers.

Important reminder to all the brothers! :mashallah:. Many brothers unfortunately fail to dress according to Islam yet want their wives, sisters, mothers and all their female relatives to dress Islamically. This is good, but you gotta practice what you preach brothers.

Jazzak Allah kahir dear sister for sharing this very important remainder for our brothers.

But as I have noticed, it is not remainded and warn about prohibation of wearing tight cloth for man. Because I have noticed that many brothers, even those who practise Islam are wearing tighter cloth Astagfirullah, and is very hard to not see any brother.

From how I know there is no any exact Hadeeth which specifically mention prohibitation of wearing tighterer cloth for man and order of wearing looser cloth, but I guess that when our Prophet sallahu alayha wa saalam said: " Modesty(Haya) is part of faith!" ( Bukhari) it refers on modesty of behaviour, modesty of speach, modesty of heart and at end the modesty of one cloth.

And Allah knows the best.

May Allah guide us all.Ameen summa Ameen

For so long, I did not know of isbaal. Inshallah I corrected this for myself (It is easy to spot).

There is still much to do.

Jazakallah Khayran for this reminder dear Sisters

when a woman dresses islamically its the right thing to do.
But no sooner does a man dresses islamically the remarks start pouring in.
I wore kurta and pajama above ankles and suddenly i started hearing comments like -

"You want to become a moulana ?"
"You are looking odd, wear regular jeans you look good in them"
"Why do you want to wear it ? pants below ankles is no big deal !! "
"First we should work on our heart and then on the dress"
"You think you are a saint or something?"
"You look old. Wear it when you have grandkids"

and all sort of things.
But on the brighter side, a stranger came up to me and said
"Please make dua for this person, he is sick"
and another one came to me to say sallam and take musafa.
People while travelling started to say salam.

So its better to bear to reap fruits.

Praise be to God alone, and peace and blessings be upon the Prophet after him ... After:

Abu Hurayrah Abdul Rahman ibn Sakhr - may Allah be pleased with him - said: The Messenger of Allah peace be upon him: ((God does not look to your bodies, nor to the appearances, but looks at your hearts)) [Reported by Muslim].
