aslam o alaikum

the 1st thing i was to say is WOW like literally WOW

what are they doing to islam and brother is right they are putting such a bad image of islam and obviously the media picks up on this and puts with the headlines like islam has something to do with it but seriously if you don't learn about something how do you know if that thing is good or bad, islam is all about having knowledge and understanding and this is just sad,

May Allah (swt) guide them all - ameen

obviously, it was written by a non muslim.

no evidence what so ever to back his statements up.

just because it is a newspaper doesn't mean it is credible. It could of been in the points and views section. where anybody could of authored it.

I wouldn't take much from this article.

just ignore it, internet is full of nonsense.

Assalamu'alaykum,

Medical schools in the UK are producing thousands of Muslim doctors who have not had trouble with learning about STI's and alcohol ..come on now, you learn about that stuff at the age of 11 in secondary schools in the UK! Do you seriously think a medical student would cause a problem about such minor issues? Noway.

I pity anyone who believed that article without stopping to think.

I also want to ask whats the definition of 'basic examination' on a female patient as mentioned above? Kuffar standards are not the same as Muslim standards, remember that, give the muslims the benefit of the doubt in future.

:salam2: dear brother and sisters,

First of all, eventhough if we think what our brother and sisters have done is incorrect, we don't label as them as 'crazy'.

And I agree 100% with brother muslimda3ee, we just don't pass on hearsay without first confirming it. In this case, we don't have anything to confirm that this actually happened and what all the situations were.. Maybe our brothers and sisters were faced by a problems that is not mentioned here by the kuffar. Allahu Alim.. So it is better to remain silent, rather than condemn or 'feel sorry for them'. If such a situation were to fall on us, are we sure that we can handle it better ourselves ?

Easy to point and criticize whereas it a lot more harder to actually face the problems and then deal with them in *real* life.

Let us not pre-occupy ourselves with what the media reports, we trust our fellow brothers and sisters in islam to do the right thing than the reports of the kuffar media.

Wasalaamalaikum waa rahmatullahi waa barakatahu
