Salam alaycoum everyone :)

When Prophet Mohamad (S.A.W) went to Al-Madina..the people over there sang a song that says.. "tala'a alabadru 'alayna.." right? so my question is, how did they ALL know the song? and all of them knew the words? like.. did they all train for it? did They rehearsed the song before singing it infront of the prophet? if that was right, how did the ladies and men get together? it was hard at those days long time ago to get through this..so how did this happen?

I'm sorry for wasting your time on this question..but wallah i was thinking of this for a while..

Salam Alaycoum

:salam2: i am reading the story of abu bakar (may allah be please with him) this was mentioned there..
Reception at Madina. At Madina the Holy Prophet and Abu Bakr were given a royal welcome. The maidens of Madina mounted on the roof tops of their houses and sang: "From the hill tops of the south, The full moon cloth arise, With what a lovely call, Unto God doth he call, And we thank him for it all. O you sent by Allah the Rahman We bow to thy demand."
so i think they practiced that song

The song 'tala'al badru 'alaina' was reported as weak hadith.
This hadith about the song is well known among us, but unfortunately it's a weak hadith. I've ever read an article which explain of this weakness report but I'm sorry I forget the source is.

finally, I've found this:

((When the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) came to Medina the women and children came out and sang “Tala’a al-Badru ‘alayna min thaniyyat al-Widaa …”)). Weak; "Ahadeeth Al-Qasaas" by ibn Taymiyah (17), and "Tazkirat Al-Mawdoo'at" (196)

it has been report that when the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) came to Madeenah, the daughters of al-Najjaar came out with daffs (hand-drums) and sang “Tala’a al-Badru ‘alayna min thaniyyat al-Widaa”, and the Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said to them, “Shake your tambourines, may Allaah bless you.” The hadeeth about women beating the daff on joyous occasions is saheeh, and this was done at the time of the Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him), but it is not known that he said, “Shake your tambourines.”
