Allaah has created angels having reason but with no desires, animals have desires and no reason, and man has both reason and desires. Therefore, if one’s reason is stronger than his desires, he is like an angel. On the other hand, if his desires are stronger, he is like an animal.

this was very beneficial and deep, the blessing of understanding that Allah has placed on some of his servants(just like Ibn Qayyim) should let us all think and ponder at how many things we ALL still have to learn and understand about the deen and this post of yours gave me more insight..thanks alot, may the blessings of Allah(swt)be upon you and upon the whole Ummah
