Divorce Upon Conversion?

No... sorry... it's complicated! I grew up Baptist, then became Catholic in 2004. My husband and I married in May. But I am not Muslim yet... still considering it.

Complicated like me,I was first Catholic but with all incoherences I became Atheist when I was teenager.
And I discovered Islam Al hamdoulillah :arabi1:

Do you believe you will NOT be tested

Indeed you do have a dillemma at your hand. But of course Alllah always has and will test those who claim to believe in Him. That is His sunnah! If the love for Allah and His prophet does NOT superceed all other loves then we have a problem. Islam will ask of many many sacrifies from us. I have heard so many stories from those who did make it and gave up what Allah has forbidden.
As a muslim woman Allah and His prophet prohibit you from staying married to a non-muslim.
Please read and think over these verses from the Quran:
Chapter The Spider (29) verses 2 and 3.
There are many more verses elsewhere in the Quran that stress that priniciple. May Allah strengthen your faith. Ameen

I think an apology from me is in order from me. I was somewhat harsh. It does NOT however change in the basic principle of Islam.
May be you need to share your new-found admiration of Islam and it's simplicity with your new husband. Who is to say that he too will not see the beauty in islam as well.
But, if after all your sincere attempts he does not accept Islam than you must knwo that Allah is Powerful over everything. He will certainly give you better than what you got. In otehr words, if you show trust in Allah He shall not disappoint you. If I could paraphrase a verse from Quran here. Allah's promise to those who put all their trust in Him alone is to provide sustainance for them where they least expect from.
May Allah show you and your husband the greater benefit in Islam. Ameen
Again, I am sorry for being harsh. Certainly, you are takig baby-steps towards the truth at this time and as Allah gives you more knowledge in Islam you will understanding will also improve.
