A man approaches an old Imam and started a conversation.
Man, “ Who are you? And I was told you are a pious man and a wise one and have answers to every question, is that right? “
Imam, “ I am a servant of Allah and Allah- willing I will try to answer whatever questions that you have”
Man,” Do you really believe that you can answer my questions whereas professors and learned men have failed “
Imam, “ I will do my best “
Man, “ I have 3 questions;
One, If God exists show me His existence?
Two; What is meant by Taqdir (will of God)?
Three, If Satan (devil) is created from fire why should God throw him into hell (Jahannam) which is all fire, obviously satan will not feel the pain as Satan is made up of fire too. Didn’t God ever give this a thought? “
Man “Answer these questions O Imam?”
The Imam stood silent for a moment and then without warning slapped the man hard on his face,
Man (in pain) “ Why are you angry with me?”
Imam “ No, I am not angry with you but the slap answers all your questions”
Man “ I don’t understand what you’re saying?”
Imam “ What did you feel when I slapped you?”
Man “ Of course, it was painful “
Imam “ So you believe there is pain?”
Man “ Yes”
Imam “ Can you show me the existence of pain?”
Man “ I can’t”
Imam “ That’s answer number one ie.e all of us feel the existence of God without having the need to see Him”
Imam “ Did you ever dream that you will be slapped by me today? “
Man “ No “
Imam “ Did it cross your mind that you will be slapped by me today?”
Man “ No “
Imam “ That is what is meant by Taqdir “
Imam “ What is covering my hand when I slapped you “
Man “ Skin “
Imam “ What is covering you face when you were slapped”
Man “ Skin”
Imam “ How did you feel when you were slapped?”
Man “ Painful”
Imam “ So, even though Satan (devil) is made up of fire and hell is all fire, if God wants, hell shall be very painful for the satan (devil)
