If a person starts fasting at the beginning of Ramdan, then breaks the fast two days into Ramadan and decides NOT to fast for five consecutive days after(which is very bad I know) but now wants to start fasting again...what should they do? Also, what should or could be done to make up for the days missed?

Quick Answer: Talk to God about what you did and why, and repent to Him. He'll be there for you. Be firm in your resolve not to slip up again, and keep up the worship that is Ramadan. There are extrenuating circumstances in which a person can "make up" the missed fasting days so as to not have a blemish on a particular year's Ramadan, though I'm not certain on the limits/conditions.

InshaAllah a more knowledgable Sister/Brother will relay the Detailed Answer to you, but I can tell you: Don't panic. =)

They just have to start fasting and does not have to make up for the missed fast because it would be useless to make it up since Allaah swt wouldn't accept it anyway BUT they have to repent.

Does the one who fails to fast with no excuse have to make up the fast?
