Allah is sufficient.
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful.
Allah, Most High created man so that he can worship Him. He provides the provision that no other can provide, gave him two eyes to appreciate the beauty in creation, sound faculty for deep understanding, yet he is ungrateful.
When affliction touches man, even the one with shallow faith, he calls on Allah in all positions, but when He relieves him, he becomes arrogant and moves on as if 'yes! that's what He is God for. You get afflicted, you call Him, He takes control. That's His job! Allahu akbar.
Whenever you intend to do good for someone, psyche yourself up not to expect a ''thank you.'' Man, that takes ALLAH for granted and is ungrateful, how do you expect him to treat ordinary little you? So, do not be disturbed when people develop selective amnesia and forget your help or generosity.
Do your deed with the knowledge that He that rewards justly will reward you, that whatever you do is an opportunity for you to save in an invisible account. Rather than feel bad, be grateful to the person for giving you the opportunity to save.
Apart from being ungrateful, some will even resent you for helping them. Ironic! They simply hate you for being in a position to help. Don't be discouraged, just keep doing good. You know your goal is Allah's pleasure, so increase your good deeds and increase your prayer to Allah to help you do more.
