there are no fixed duas normally which the imams of mosque do. and its also not obligatory to do so. u can do dua as u want , and separate.

u can do dua which has been done by prophet muhammad(sw) after ever prayer.

i found in this case all indicate to do the Tasbihat and Dhikr and Dua after fard prayers:

After the fard Salaat recite the following while rubbing the right hand on the forehead:

بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الَّذِي لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا هُوَ الرَّحْمَنُ الرَّحِيمُ اللَّهُمَّ أَذْهِبْ عَنِّي الْهَمَّ وَالْحَزَنَ

"In the name of Allah, (I have completed the Salaat) who is the only one worthy of worhsip and who is the Most Merciful, the Most Gracious. O Allah remove from me all worries and sorrows".

(Hisnul Hasin)

Then recite Astaghfirullah thrice and recite the following:

اللَّهُمَّ أَنْتَ السَّلَامُ وَمِنْكَ السَّلَامُ تَبَارَكْتَ يَا ذَا الْجَلَالِ وَالْإِكْرَامِ
"O Allah, You are safe, and from You we receive safety. You are Blessed, Lofty and Dignified".

From the following duas either recite all of them or any one indivisually:
لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ وَحْدَهُ لَا شَرِيكَ لَهُ لَهُ الْمُلْكُ وَلَهُ الْحَمْدُ وَهُوَ عَلَى كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيرٍ
a. "Besides Allah, there is no one worthy of worship, He is all by Himself and has no partner. His is the Kingdom, to Him is all praise and He has control over everything".

(Bukhari, Muslim)

b. "O Allah, no one can stop what You give and no one can give what You stop and the wealth of the wealthy cannot prevent Your punishment".

(Mishkat)

c. "O Allah, I seek refuge from cowardice, miserliness and childness in old age, from the trials of this world and punishment of the grave".

(Bukhari)

d. "O Allah, I seek refuge in You from Kufr, poverty and the punishment of the grave".

(Hisnul Hasin)

e. "O Allah, forgive my past and future sins and those sins which took place knowingly or unknowngly and forgive me for exceeding the limits and those that You know more than me. You are the beginning and the end and besides You there is no one else worthy of worship".

(Abu Dawood)

f. "O Allah, help me so that I can make your Dhikr, glorify You and worship You properly".

(Abu Dawood)

It is stated in the hadith that the person who recites Ayatul Qursi after every fard Salaat, death is the only barrier for him between him and Jannah.

(Bahaqi in Sahbatul Iman)

h. Uqba bin Amr (R.A.) states that Prophet Mohammad (S.A.W.) ordered him to recite the Muwoozhita (i.e. the four Quls) after every fard Salaat.

(Mishkat)

After every fard Salaat recite SubhanAllah 33 times, Alhamdulillah 33 times and Allahu Akbar 34 times.

Even in one hadeeth it says:

Abu Amama (R.A.) narrates from Prophet Mohammad (S.A.W.) that he Prophet Mohammad (S.A.W.) was asked which dua has the greatest acceptance. To this, he replied that the dua recited in the latter part of the night (Tahajjud time) and after the fard Salaat.
(Tirmidhi)

look at this book. and u will get a lot of dua which has been done by prophet mohammad(sw) after obligatory prayer.

:salam2:

Making du’aa’ after the obligatory prayers is bid’ah
After fard salat (i.e. after saying salam), some people make Dua while others say only Tasbih Fatmi. Some people are adament that making Dua after salat is Bidat. This is causing some restraint in the cummunity speacially those who follow Imam Abu Hanifa or Shafai.
Can we make dua'a after salat.
Can we make dua'a with the imama after salat alltogether.

Praise be to Allaah.

It says in Fatawa al-Lajnah al-Daa’imah:

Making du’aa’ after the obligatory prayers is not Sunnah if it is done by raising the hands, whether that is done by the imam alone or a member of the congregation alone, or it is done by them both together. Rather that is bid’ah, because it was not narrated that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) or any of his companions (may Allaah be pleased with them) did that. With regard to making du’aa’ without doing that (raising the hands etc.), there is nothing wrong with it, because there are some ahaadeeth concerning that.

Fataawa al-Lajnah al-Daa’imah, 7/103

The Committee was asked about raising the hands for du’aa’ after the five daily prayers – is it proven that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) raised his hands or not? If it is not proven, is it permissible to raise the hands after the five daily prayers or not?

They replied: It is not proven that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) raised his hands in du’aa’ after the obligatory prayers as far as we know, so raising them after the salaam of an obligatory prayer is contrary to the Sunnah.

Fataawa al-Lajnah, 7/104

The Committee also stated that saying du’aa’ out loud after the five daily prayers or regular Sunnah prayers, or reciting du’aa’ in unison as a regular practice is a reprehensible innovation (bid’ah), because it was not proven that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) or his companions (may Allaah be pleased with them) did anything like that. Whoever makes du’aa’ after the obligatory or regular Sunnah prayers in unison is going against the way of Ahl al-Sunnah wa’l-Jamaa’ah, and for those people to accuse those who disagree with them of being kaafirs and not belonging to Ahl al-Sunnah wa’l-Jamaa’ah, is misguidance, ignorance and a distortion of the facts.

Fataawa Islamiyyah, 1/319

And Allaah knows best.

Jazakallah for the replies, the dua I was asking about is what I hear some imams read after leading namaz, but by bit during the time the imam is saying the dua people will say ameen, it's read after the five daily prayers.

I always hear the start as he read's the start out in a manner where it can be heard, it sounds like the following.

Starts with Allah humma sali

then he says muahmmad sayidna or it might be the other way around sayidna muhammad.

Anyone know what it might be or even the name of the dua?
