Im Proud 2 B Me!
DUAA
Duaa is a very special thing in our lives. It is more than just words. It gives us a great feeling of hope when we make Duaa and we are sure that our Lord is listening to us. This is by itself makes us feel great, because when we share our problems with closer friends we feel good. What about when we share it with our Lord, Allah, the one who can help and change our situation to a better one? Duaa is the lifeblood of our religion.
Duaa is also a great spiritual medicine, supplying the first successful steps toward the relief of stress, depression and fear.
Duaa is the real strong weapon in our hand. It is good for the good times as well as the bad times and needy moments in our lives.
Some people sometimes think that they are not in need of any assistance or guidance, but we can never be truly successful on our own. Without the help of Allah, we can do nothing of our own selves. We cannot even take a breath unless Allah wills it.
What can be translated as (and your Lord says call upon me I will respond to you) 40-60
And there is a very beautiful hint when the companions asked the prophet (pbuh) about any thing and the prophet in his turn asked Allah the answer get back throw the Quran by oh Mohamed tell them this and that accept in Duaa the answer came direct from Allah (SW) to his servant to show them how close Allah is to all of them, and also to show that there is no mediator between Allah and his creatures. Allah said in the holy Quran:
What can be retranslated as (and when my servants ask you O Mohamed concerning me indeed I am near I respond to the invocation of the supplication when he calls upon me )2-186
The prophet (pbuh) said: Duaa is Ibadah (worship).)
Imam Ahmed and Tirmizi narrated that the prophet Mohamed (pbuh) said that :any one who does not invoke Allah ,Allah will be angry with him )
All kind of worship should be according to the Quran and the Sunna of the prophet (pbuh), and we have to remind ourselves by the hadeeth of the prophet (pbuh) when he saidwhoever innovates in this matter of ours something which is not part of it will be rejected)
Any worship should have two important conditions. It should be sincere, and it should be according to the holy book and the Sunna, or else it will be rejected.
And also we have to make sure that we have full trust in Allah that he won’t put us down or ignoring us because he has promised us to respond to our Duaa ,and if Allah respond to Abeles Duaa when he asked him to give him another chance to the life after as Allah says in the holy Quran
What can be translated as (allow me respite till the day they are raised up Allah said you are of those respite ) 7-14.
and lets hear together what Allah says in the holy hadeeth :
Allah says in the holy hadeeth (O my servant were the first of you and the last of you to rise up in one place and make request from me and were I to give every one what they requested that would not decrease what I have anymore than a needle decreases the sea if put into it).
So Allah will answer our Duaa as long as we are not impatience so after Duaa do not be in a hurry for an answer to your Duaa.
The prophet (pbuh) said:
( the invocation of anyone of you is granted by Allah as long as he doesn’t show impatience by saying I have invoked Allah but my request has not been answered )Bukari and Muslim
It is recommended to invoke Allah in a low tone full of humbleness Abo Mousa Alshari narrated (we were with the prophet in a journey so the people started raising their voice while making takbeer the prophet (pbuh) said O people calm down you are not calling one who is either deaf or absent you are calling one who is All-hearing Near and He is with you )Bukari and Muslim
Also, we should not invoke Allah and ask his forgiveness while we are still committing sins. If we want Allah to give us what we want, we have to stop committing sins and try our best to change our situation for the better all the time. As Allah says in the holy Quran:
What can be translated as (Verily Allah will not change the good condition of a people as long as they do not change their state(of goodness ) themselves (by committing sins and by being ungrateful) 14-11
Just as doing good deeds Is a reason for the acceptance of Duaa similarly abandoning good deeds is a reason for rejection of Duaa
The prophet (pbuh) said (by him in whose hand is my soul you should enjoin good and forbid evil or else it is likely that Allah will send a punishment upon you and then you will invoke him and you will not be answered) Tirmithi
We have to remember to make Duaa during the right time, when Duaa is more likely to be accepted, such as in Ramadan, the night of Al-Qadr, after the obligation prayer, during the last part of the night, between Athan and Iqama, on Jumuah (Friday) and when prostrating.
Abo Huraira narrated that Allah’s messenger said(the closest a person gets to his lord in during Sujood –prostrating -).
Abo Umamah narrated that it was said to the prophet (pbuh) O messenger of Allah which Duaa is most likely to be answered he said : in the depth of the last part of the night and after the obligatory prayer ) Tirmithi.
And it is recommended practice to raise one’s hands in making Duaa, as it was done by the prophet (pbuh) at different occasions.
Abo Musa Al-Alshari narrated that the prophet (pbuh) invoked and raised his hands and I sew the witness of his armpits. Bukari
It is recommended to exaggerate the raising up the hands while making the request for water and raising hands in making Duaa. It has been approved in many authentic hadeeth and Almonzery wrote a book about this issue. Alnawawy said, “I collected more than thirty authentic hadeeth from both Bukari and Muslim,” and he mentioned it at the end of the prayer chapter in his book Almohazab. Anas’s hadeeth neglects the exaggeration of raising up the hands except in the Duaa requesting for water, but Anas’s hadeeth did not neglect raising hands in general while making Duaa. And the Sunna is not to raise hands in making Duaa for the speaker on Friday, not every one.
And the most important condition in accepting Duaa is to earn your living lawful way otherwise your Duaa will be rejected as the prophet (pbuh)said O Mouaz earn your money Halal your Duaa will be answered )
And finally, once the prophet was offering prayer at the Ka’bah. Abu Jahl and his companions were there watching, and they brought viscera (meat and organs) of a camel and placed it on his back between his shoulders while he was prostrating. The prophet did not lift up his head until his daughter Fatimah came and remove the camel viscera from his back. Then he raised his head and said three times, “O Allah punish Abu Jahl, Utbah Ibn Rabiah, Shaiba Ibn Rabiah, Alwaleed Ibn Utbah, Umayya Ibn Khalaf and Uqba Ibn Abi Mu’at,” and he counted; the seventh name I cannot recall (as Abdullah Ibn Masood said). By Allah, I saw the dead bodies of those persons who were counted by Allah’s Messenger in the Qaleeb of Badr . (Bukari and Muslim)
And now Brothers and Sisters, make a lot of Duaa to Allah to guide the whole of humanity to the right way, to grant us the victory and to gather all of us in heaven o Allah pure this community from those who spread corruption and backbiting o Allah pure this community from those who work in the darkness for their personal agenda Ameen.
