Purifying my soul!
A'salam aylekum, to all brothers and sister!
I am a young man, and also born muslim, but all the rules didn't apply to me until recently. I was much closer to sins then to faith. I knew there was a God and I didn't eat pork, but that was it. Allah brought me back, through my fear of death. I thought like everyone else, that one should be religious when they are old. A few family members tried to encourage me to not be devoit, saying; your young, have fun, there's lots of time for devotion later.(may Allah forgive them, because the don't know what they were saying."
I am studying Islam through Qur'ran, hadiths, and other books. Also learning how to pray, the way of the Prophet(puh). Memorizing the duas and surahs and is slightly difficult, but it's getting better for each day, Bismillah.
It's tough letting go of temptations, really tough, but I want this, even if my friends are closely walking away out of my life, (non-muslims).
We should help each other, and love all Muslims which are devout, For the sake of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful!
