Ramadaan was here, now it's all gone,
Mournful it's leaving, hopeful for the next one to come,
Devoted in worship and increased confirmation of the Divine,
Love, Mercy, Compassion, Grace, Justice, Majesty, Wisdom and Peace
Only a few of the wonderful properties of the Ever-Present, Glorious One.
We've been hungry and deprived of much we like,
Realizing the wonderful bounties given and needs fulfilled,
Feeling and sharing the tears, agony and struggle of the poor, needy, hungry and the like,
Our souls deaf, clouded, hardened and frozen; not hearing our heart's cry,
Broken down like ice melting under intense heat of the sun,
It is the Light from the Source of Light and Truth which guides, not blinds,
Showing us clearly to be grateful for what we have and forbearing for what we don't,
Putting our complete trust in the Giver and Possessor of All,
In this ephemeral world we so tightly cling, The Praiseworthy Humbler reminds us,
The Need to Share, Help, Feel, Love, Protect, Pardon, and Unite,
So we attain the True Serenity and Tranquility from the Source whom we'll all return.
