The flower that today smiles
Will tomorrow be dying;
The sun that daily rises
Will soon be setting;
The brook that impatiently cripples along
Will in the end be silenced;
The sea that calmly awaits a song
Will be outraged by cruel wind;
Even the man born on earth,
However great or wicked he is,
Will on bell meet his death.
But blessed and eternal are those
Who dwell in the heart of God
And those who have faith in Almighty Lord.
