Do you ever feel that wherever you go in life something is always there to follow and leave a bad taste in your mouth? I am watching the news about the hurricane in the Caribbean and the path shows it going straight to where my parents have relocated. After Katrina, I just don't know what to think anymore. I have become numb and still cannot cry over Katrina. Please just make du'a for us in the hurricane prone areas.

:salam2: My dear sister many calamities befall us, and many of us go through hardships which like you said make you numb that you can't even cry. InshaAllah we will make dua for you and inshaAllah Allah will protect your parents and whomever else he wants to protect. Don't be afraid and trust in Allah. If you believe that Allah will protect your parents then he will. So always think:salam2: positively. and if they are to be taken away then Allah will give them their eternal homes (paradise) inshaAllah. Calm yourself down, because everyone of us will die, whether in a car accident, or whether in a plane, or even in a hurricane, or just naturally. I'm sorry if i'm scaring you, but we could die now. So have faith and trust in Allah. tawakal 'alallahi wakafa billahi wakila. Ameen. :tti_sister: May Allah protect us all.

Sister, we are so mislead in this life of illusion. Reality is not scary. Islam is reality. What fails us and scares us is the illusion of the duyna. It is unstable. Do not put your faith in it.
