"Everybody Draw Mohammed Day" controversy

Asja

Pearl of Islaam
Refer to Waseem's post. It's straight from the Qur'an. I read through Channa's post and the problem I have with it is that it is mostly from Scholars and hadiths. I will admit, I don't know much of hadiths yet. I use them for necessary things the Qur'an doesn't go into depth about such as prayer and wudu. I'm currently studying just the Qur'an. Once I feel comfortable moving onto hadiths, then I will. But If there is a topic such as this one, that I feel flat out contradicts what is in the Qur'an... I don't really care how many scholars or hadiths you give me. To me, it clearly states in the Qur'an that none of the prophets are above each other. They are all equally important.

Please know that I mean no disrespect, I love the Prophet Muhammad (pbuh)... and it would be SO awesome if he would speak for me on the Day of Judgement. But I strongly disagree with the concept of Shafaa (or Sheefat). To me, like I said... it is the same concept as being "saved" in Christianity. I believe only Allah knows what is in our hearts, he is all knowing... why would Allah need for someone to speak for us?

Assalamu allaicoum wa raahmatullah wa baarakatuhu

May Allah forgive me sister, If you maybe misunderstood my post, but I think we as Muslims need to advice each others, and Alhamdulillah on nice way, because sometimes our feelings can go astray, or if we learn Islaam from wrong people, who are trying to bring bidaah in Islam. That is why we should folow Quraan and Sunnah, and that is the only the right way. Because, Quran is not enough for Muslims, as Allah subhan we teala sais in Quran that we should obey to Him and folow His Last Messanger. Islam is way of life, like it is described in Sunnah of our Prophet Mohammed sallahu alayhe wa salam. Muslims are the one who obey to Allah and are His Servent, and those one who folow practise ( Sunnah) of his Last Messanger.
Without Sunnah we would not have complete way of life, we would not knew practise while we eat, or drink, or practise with things reated with marriege. Everything that is in Sunnah. Allah sent His ResulAllah sallahu alayhea wa salam to beautify our character, and to have the most beautiful behaviour and way of life, because we are Muslims, and it all mercy of Allah upon us.

"Say (O Muhammad SAW): "Obey Allâh and the Messenger (Muhammad SAW)." But if they turn away, then Allâh does not like the disbelievers" ( Ali Imran, ayah 32).

How we love our Prophet s.a.w.s, if we do not folow His Sunnah and his practise, how do we love him if we do not take his sunnah like a fard( obligatory for us), how do we love Allah if we disobey to His Messanger, and how are we thankfull to Him for sending us His Messanger to be our gudiance.

Allahs Messanger s.a.w.s said: "I left you two things, if you stick to them you will never go astray: Allahs book ( Quran) and my Sunnah"

Allah will alow Prophet Mohammed sallahu alyhe wa salam, some of his good and pious servents, and shaheeds( those who died on Allahs way) permission to intercode for some Muslims, but still that is only with permission of Allah. It is only Allahs mercy for us, but still shaafat has some rulings. Noone sais sister, that we will not respond for our good and bad deeds, Inshallah we all will, and we all will be reworded or punished by our deeds. But Allah will aloow shafat for some Muslims, to who he decide to forgive, like Allah sais:" To Him belongs whatever is in the heavens and whatever is on earth. Who is he that can intercede with Him except with His Permission? " ( Surah al Baqarah, 55).

"Surely, your Lord is Allâh Who created the heavens and the earth in six Days and then rose over (Istawâ) the Throne (really in a manner that suits His Majesty), disposing the affair of all things. No intercessor (can plead with Him) except after His Leave. That is Allâh, your Lord; so worship Him (Alone). Then, will you not remember? " ( Yunus, ayah 3)

May Allah forgive me if I said something wrong.
