el salam alikium, I was struck today at the sense of true family we have in Islam. I grew up feeling lost because my family was lost in alcohol, and the sins that follow the abuse of alcohol. Always feeling alone and lost, Finding Islam, has filled the void left in my life. Finding Allah, and my brothers and sisters in Islam, has brought a feeling of being fulfilled and i am no longer lonely. I just moved here to a city with a Mosque and moderate sized Islamic community. I am truly blessed, With sisters who i can share life with and worship of Allah with. I suggest to any convert to move close to the Islamic community if you are not living near one, it helps in building our deen and knowledge,inshallah. Also gives us a sense of family.:ma::ma:
