Fatima's what??????

I'm a little confused about a medallion. A few months back, a teacher showed me this medallion which was supposed to represent Fatima's hand (it was bought in Egypt). She claimed that it was a muslim symbol, which I had never seen before. Now, I don't think Allah is okay with us having medallions of Aisha, Abu bakr (idoltry????) not even a medalion that represents Muhammad (May allah's peace and blessings be upon him). Please correct me here, because I think this is a misconception or a thing of those that don't follow authentic ahadiths do.

salamu alaikum wa rahmatullah!

yeah, weird isn't it. Again, the teacher said it was sort of a protection. It must be like I wrote it in other words from the shiayts.

Salamu alaikum wa rahmatullah!

What I've always known is that the hand symbol you always find in many arab or middle eastern shops is called Fatima's hand or Hamza and it is purely supertition, as it's used supposedly for protection........astaghfirullah!.

May Allah protect us from falling into this nonsense!
