As Salamu'Alaykum,

The FIKS.og has a class on The Aqeedah of Muhammad ibn ismail ibn ibrahim ibn al-Mughirah ibn Bardizhah al-Bukhari called String of Pearls. And, another course on The Aqeedah of Lil Maliki. I figure if I study them I will have a good skeleton upon which to build the body of my understanding.

This should eliminate much of the frustration that I have been feeling this week over finding that there are wrong paths in Islam as there is in all endeavors. My Mom use to say that there is "a right way", "a wrong way", and "my way" meaning me. This doesn't mean a will be a card carrying member of the "Damnation Club" because I know that pointing a finger points three back at me.
However, it will say concerned Brothers and Sisters here at TTI from having to warn me of individuals who are teaching Bidah and Haraam as Halal. Hopefully, it will provide me with, if not a light, to illuminate my path, a least a rope that is tied to The Prophet (Salla Alayhu 'Alayhi Wa Sallam).

I do appreciate it when each of you let me know that books or sites to which I link are not authentic teachings. I have enough to answer for to Maliki Yawmid Deen on that day without having to explain why I led anyone astray.

This doesn't mean that I will be accepting weak Hadith for anything; however, I don't think I can go wrong "listening" to al-sahih of a man who traveled the Muslim World to learn what over a 1000 men had to say. This is Especially true of a man who recognized that although an individual may have some knowledge that he was not one to be listen to as he would lure a horse into a stable with an empty bucket.

So, Insha Allah, I won't need as much correction on my links in the future.

I appreciate all of you here at TTI. As I have said before, many of you through what you have shown through your posts of your hearts have been used by Allah to lead me to Islam. It is Allah who draws or repels individuals, but I don't think I am speaking out of place, when I say that he uses individuals sometimes to confirm that His Voice in Al Qur'an is true.

Just want to share as I wait for dawn. Our local Islamic Center has a website with the times of prayer and dawn is almost here. As Salamu 'Alakum (If anyone can give me a more appropriate closing, min fud luk/min fud lik/ please do.

Assalaam walaikum,

Wisdom comes to us almost like an oyster pearl. It takes a lot of effort to find the pearl.
In almost twenty years of serious study of my faith I know very little however, I know what lightens my heart and gives me hope.
Brother what I find to be the most valuable is being able to pray and knowing my prayer is heard..like a drop of water I am making my way back to the ocean. ( sorry, I am not that glib; not original thought).

:salam2: Brother,

Some times, I really get frustrated with lot of back-and-forth questions/debates on TTI on trivial matters rather than focusing on learning Islaam from the qualified teachers. (www.thefiks.org is one of them for english speakers)

Its like a breath of fresh air, when once in while someone posts on learning Islam from the right sources.

I hope more people on TTI realize that and start focusing on learning Islam.

Assalemu alaikom,

@ Brother abubaseer,

You are so right! We Muslims waste so much time and energy on trivial matters, that we often forget what matters most.....understanding how to worship Allah. I get so frustrated when I get bogged down in every day life, and forget our real reason for existance. My mind becomes blurred by those who insist on making a fuss about things which in the long run have no meaning...I sometimes think they're simply being contrary! May Allah guide us to His truth.

I'll have a look at the link inshallah. It looks interesting.

Wa salem.
