Salam
So my philosophy prof today gave us a blank sheet of paper and told us to write a poem in 25 min about anything.
This happens to be the first poem I have written so don't laugh! Although I must add my prof said " it's a pretty random topic for a 25 minute in class assignment!"
Of course, I smiled diligently
Here you go:
Troublesome was trouble waiting to happen.
I never really understood the meaning of being myself
Scared to shine through-- so I stayed on the shelf
Love would be my hate and hate would be my love
Questioning if I would prostrate to the one up above
Ignorance and greed, it's kind of hard to swallow
The fake material thins I could have almost followed
I walked with the same people but never took the same path
Had the same vision; still always a different glass
In myself I believed seeking no protection
From dollar signed or looks instead a sense of direction
It is tranquilty that cradled my heart from the love of this role model whom, sometimes..
I feel I don't do no justice.
He was most generous of the people and the kindest of his ways
Humblesness was his character and modesty was his praise.
His speech serene as a child fragile; a solemn truth with the innocent smile
Never neglected the poor in their state of poverty
Nor ever in awe of a kings sovereignty
Vision the smallest blessing as a matter great
When found good in something, that he would take
Noble was his identity, excellent was his thought
The conviction of taqwa is what conquered my heart
Of hope in fear with restless intention
To show us our lifes real and great lesson
By the time, man is in lost
Except those who advice to patience and truth-
Honorable he was from every angle
My sincere role model just a perfect example
Blessed was the air in his mouth, so sweet
Had the treasures of the world but sometimes walks barefeet
A person of beauty, his name is Muhammad
My only real love, May peace be upon him
