Food for thought, an interesting analogy

"A man is walking down the street and falls into a hole and can't get out. A doctor walks by and hears the man yelling for help. The Doctor takes out his prescription pad, writes a prescription and throws it down the hole.

Next a Priest walks by and hears the man yelling for help, he takes out a piece of paper, writes a prayer and throws it down the hole.

The last man who walks by hears the man yelling for help, he jumps in. The man in the hole asks him why he jumped in, now they are both stuck. The other man says to him "I've been in this hole before, I can show you the way out"

Walikum asalamu warahmatullahi wabarakahu Brother,

Prescription for help is prayer, and someone who has been in the same distress as another and found the way out is in a good place to show another how to find the safe way so they can help another. This is how I understand this. I heard this and thought is very true, the person who has been in the same situation as another who is in need in help can relate and help that person better then someone who tries to help who has never been in that situation because how can they put themselves in their shoes? For example, I can help a homeless person by giving them money, food even shelter but then how do I know how to keep that person from being homeless again. Another person who was homeless who found the way out and to stay from being homeless can relate to that person better therefore giving them better advice, Insha'Allah
