I thought it was envy (Hasad). Jealousy is not forbidden. Once Sa`d ibn Abi Waqqaas, may God have been pleased with him, exhibited jealousy and the Sahaaba were amused. The prophet said, "Do you find Sa`d's jealousy amusing? I am more jealous than him and God is more jealous than me!"

Salaam brother,
envy and jealousy have the same base meaning.
the 'jealousy' mentioned in the above hadith is the negative one that causes harm to oneself and to others.
there is a positive part to jealousy as there is to competition. the Shahaba (RAA) used to compete with each other in doing good deeds and they used to feel jealous when one of them does more good than the other.

And ALLAH KNOWS BEST!!!
