Halal or Haram??

Is keeping plastic, or silk or fake flowers, vines and plants in ones home, haram or halal?

I really don't know (Allahu 'alim) but i don't think there is anything wrong with it though? What is it that would make it haram?

I would think...

that possibly, since it is making a likeness of Allah's (swt) creation, it could be haram? I took away all my rooster stuff out of the kitchen, and some of my sculptures, and anything that was a picture that is a likeness of a person. I got rid of my lamps that had an elephant holding the night light, etc.

so is making a fake plant, the same? no one seems to know.

there is nothing wrong with keeping fake flowers or plants. what you are not allowed to do is keep sculptures of living things like animals or humans. This does not include plants.

You just can't have things that are 'animate'. Like pictures (drawings), figurines etc.
