Having Hayaa (Modesty) Even When Alone

TheAuthenticBase

Assalaamu 'alaykum!
Mu'aawiya ibn Haida said, when asking about the awrah of a man:

"O Messenger of Allah, what about when one is alone?"
The Prophet said:

"Allah is more deserving of your modesty than are the people." [Ahmad, Abu Dawood, Tirmidhee and others: Saheeh].
Aishah narrated that the Prophet (saw) said:

"Every woman who removes her clothes other than in her house has torn down all veils of modesty between herself and Allaah." [Tirmidhee, Abu Dawood and others: Saheeh]
Umm ad-dardaa narrated that the Prophet (saw) said:

"By the One in whose hand is my soul, every woman who removes her clothes anywhere except the house of one of her mothers has torn down all that veils her before Ar-Rahman." [Ahmad: Saheeh]

Seeking Allah's Mercy

Qul HuwaAllahu Ahud!
Asalamoalaikom wa rahmatullahi wa barakaatuh,

Jazakallah khair!

Narrated by Abu Huraira (ra): The Prophet said, "Faith (Belief) consists of more than sixty branches (i.e. parts). And Haya is a part of faith." (Bukhari)

removing modesty from a society is an easy way to destroy ones faith.

Abdullah ibn Umar (ra) narrated that the Prophet (saw) said: "Indeed haya (modesty) and Iman are Companions. When one of them is lifted, the other leaves as well." (Baihaqi)

The Prophet (saws) said: "Haya and Trustworthiness will be the first to go from this world; therefore keep asking Allah for them." (Baihaqi)

May Allaah cover us and help us guard our Imaan.

Mullah Ali Qaari (Rahmatullahi ‘alaih) has defined Hayaa (modesty) as :

“The Haqeeqat (reality) of Hayaa is that your Maula (Master) must not find you in that place
which He has forbidden.”
…Or indulging in that which He has forbidden.
