Asalamu 'Alaykuum!
We see today that in the world there is an obesity epidemic that has affected millions of people around the world, and unfortunately has also affected the Muslim ummah, heavily.
The lack of healthy living is unfortunate especially because as Muslims, we should take care of our bodies knowing that our bodies have rights over us:
The final messenger of Allah, Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) mounted the pulpit, then wept and said, "Ask Allah for forgiveness and health, for after being granted certainty, one is given nothing better than health."
[Related in Tirmidhi]
The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: "No one will be allowed to move from his position on the Day of Judgement until he has been asked how he spent his life, how he used his knowledge, how he earnt and spent his money and in what pursuits he used his health"
[Related in Tirmidhi]
The Prophet (peace be upon him) said: "No human filled a vessel worse than the stomach. Sufficient for any son of Adam are some morsels to keep his back straight. But if it must be, then one third for his food, one third for his drink and one third for his breath."
[Ahmad & others, saheeh]
So Alhamdulillah, this project has risen for our fellow Muslims to help take care of themselves for the Sake of Allah, and inshallah maintain it through healthy eating, exercising, maintaining and awareness.
Ultimately we want to motivate people to get moving and eating right.
Inshallah in the future - if this project is successful - there will be a website that will include a library of healthy halal recipes, fitness guides for both brothers and sisters, how to maintain your fitness during the month of Ramadan, a kids corner, evidences from the Qur'an and Sunnah regarding healthy eating/balanced eating and encouragements from mashayekh who are up to scratch with their fitness.
If Allah also Wills, there will be some lectures regarding health.
Merchandise may be available inshallah depending on budgets.
Website is being built so please bookmark it inshallah:
