Asslamo Allaikum Brother/Sister,
I realised a week or so ago that I never posted an introduction & therefore failed to follow the cardinal rule of TTI.
So I would like my 1000th post to be regarded as my first and last. I would like to state that all of my posts were done with the utmost sincerity, extreme calculation and a genuine desire to help who-ever I was trying to help and with as much intensity as a weak human can muster.
I know that many amongst you disagree with my opinions but I hope that you will forgive me on grounds of being sincere & trying my best to help; I considered the Islamic opinion, the actual condition and the problem, and the circumstances of the one who is asking the question as I firmly believe that simply giving the information is not good enough as I consider it my greatest duty and honour to help any Brothers/Sisters (above all bar NONE) to resolve a situation and often the resolution for an African-American revert, for a European-Dutch revert and a born-Indian Muslim are different. Since the subtlety will be lost to many so I will rephrase that what I am trying to say is that Islamic injunctions are not necessarily different but the circumstances, explanation, intelligence of the one who is asking something may be different.
In my humble opinion it is not sufficient to ‘give information’ rather help must be provided to the individual for the information to be contextualised, understood, assimilated, practised, and then propagated. In my humble opinion this is what separates ‘knowledge’ from ‘Information’ and off course in case of Islamic knowledge we will be judged by Allah (SWT) on how much we practised and not on how much we know!
But after-all I am a human and even the best of my capabilities have limitations. Furthermore what do you expect from someone who ran away from home in teenage and has been trying ever since to develop a Islamic personality and rectify the effects of years of Non-Islamic influence?
Well! I tried my best and that’s all one can do and I ask of your forgiveness for the sake of Allah (SWT) if I ever rubbed any of you the wrong way as that was certainly not the plan.
It has been an honour and a pleasure to have known such a dedicated bunch of Brothers/Sisters and please remember me and my family in your duas.
As most of you accuse me of over-planning my life; my plans at TTI have come to an end, objectives achieved and its time to move on…My involvement with Islamic organisations and Brothers/Sisters around the world doesn’t permit the luxury of staying around at TTI any longer; however I hope to post sometimes if my account is not cancelled.
