salamu alaikum

i have a question to ask. a few months ago i reverted to islam but after about 1 month i stopped practicing and stopped believing and did bad things like drinking, drugs and other things and even slandered islam and Allah.

now i feel drawn back to islam, i cant explain why but somethin always make me look back but then 30mins later i will not be interested.

if i was to practice islam again, would what i did be forgivable?

(apologies if this post offends anyone)

i was just reading the tafseer of surah Al-An'am,6 so would like to share a few ayat from that surah.

6:32 "And the life of this world is nothing but play and amusement. But far better is the house in the Hereafter for those who are Al-Muttaqun. Will you not then understand?"

6:44 "So, when they forgot (the warning) with which they had been reminded, We opened to them the gates of every (pleasant) thing, until in the midst of their enjoyment in that which they were given, all of a sudden, We took them into punishment, and lo! They were plunged into destruction with deep regrets and sorrows."

6:54 "When those who believe in our Ayat (proofs, evidences, verses, lessons, signs, revelations, etc) come to you, say : 'Salamun Alaikum' (peace be on you); your Lord has written Mercy for Himself, so that, if any of you does evil in ignorance, and thereafter repents and does righteous good deeds (by obeying Allah), then surely, He is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful."

brother, since u just reverted to islam, it is utmost important for you to keep good company with you. For whatever environment you are in right now that actually caused you to do bad deeds more than good deeds, then it is highly advisable for you to leave it and start to look for righteous, pious friends who will encourage you to be closer to Allah. Frequently go to the mosque and engage yourself in lectures regarding islam. It is important that you do jihaad (as to fight against your desires to do bad things) as now you are a muslim and the main goal in your life is to submit yourself to Allah and obey what Allah has commands to the best ability you can. Remember of the above ayat that this world is nothing compared to the Hereafter and if you do jihaad for the sake of Allah, know that a great reward is waiting for you by the Mercy from Allah.
Allah knows best.

Allah almighty loves to see his slaves return to him asking for forgiveness and mercy, to be steadfast on the straight path is difficult and we may stray now and again, but aslong as we repent and try again to correct ourselves then there is hope and we should continue to strive, until we enter paradise.

wa'alaikum salaam warahmatu-Allah wabarakatuh,

have some hope in the Most high, the most merciful, the otf-forgiving who says the following verses:
Those who invoke not, with Allah, any other god, nor slay such life as Allah has made sacred, except for just cause, not commit fornication― and any that does this (not only) meets punishment (68)
(But) the Penalty on the Day of Judgment will be doubled to him, and he will dwell therein in ignominy― (69)

Unless he repents, believes, and works righteous deeds, for Allah will change the evil of such persons into good and Allah is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful (70)
And whoever repents and does good has truly turned to Allah with an (acceptable) conversion―(71)

And these verses:D

(52) Say: "O 'Ibâdî (My slaves) who have transgressed against themselves (by committing evil deeds and sins)! Despair not of the Mercy of Allâh, verily Allâh forgives all sins. Truly, He is Oft-Forgiving, Most Merciful.

(54) "And follow the best of that which is sent down to you from your Lord (i.e. this Qur'ân, do what it orders you to do and keep away from what it forbids), before the torment comes on you suddenly while you perceive not!"

And these!

(58) Then, there has succeeded them a posterity who have given up As-Salât (the prayers) [i.e. made their Salât (prayers) to be lost, either by not offering them or by not offering them perfectly or by not offering them in their proper fixed times] and have followed lusts.[] So they will be thrown in Hell.

(59) Except those who repent and believe (in the Oneness of Allâh and His Messenger Muhammad SAW), and work righteousness[].

SubhanaAllah....the mercy of Allaah is un-limitted! dont give up and go back to your Lord! subhanaAllah.

i cant explain why but somethin always make me look back
That something is your IMAN (faith in Allaah)....... in your heart you know Islam is the answer, so you cannot just walk away. Take this opportunity, run with it, and always have hope in Allaah ta'ala!
may Allaah make it easy on you and keep you guided!ameen

brother you decide whether repentence is easy or living without islam.
trust me living without islam is easy for awhile but sooner it gets tough then tougher then even more and so it inceases till eternity.i mean the toughness of life keeps increwasing without islam and life starts hard for one following islam but keeps getting easy and easier till he attains deatha nd compete bliss. u choose. sinning is nature of man and forgiving nature of Allah.may he forgive both infact all of us.subhanallah!
