Wa alaykum Salam Wa Rahmatullah,

Gay person asking about Islam
Need Help!Homosexuality
Homosexuality is a sin. It is mentioned in the Quran (as well as many references in the Bible) as being a forbidden relationship.
It is
not something that would stop a person from being Muslim. However, if they stay doing this, then they are sinning. We should be weary of them, because they are doing such a disgusting and abhorrent sin. But, we should not exceed the boundaries and do what non-Muslims or even some ignorant Muslims do.
Are we suppose to execute Gay people?
No. Islamic Shariah, the punishments prescribed in the Quran and how it is done is something misunderstood by many people. It will be explained later below.
Islam does not teach us to go around "Gay bashing", nor do we have any hate campaigns etc. Rather, we should advise them about what they are doing as being wrong. We should explain to them about Islam, about Tawheed and Islam. We need to help them. Unjust Violence and stupidity is not sanctioned by Islamic teachings!
Every human is born on a natural pre-disposition. That is we are all created by Allah to worship him alone. We are all created in way that Allah had wanted, to live in a halal (allowable) way. No child is born doing haram or being sinful.
Even if that child be illegitimate, his parents be disbelievers in Islam or even people who have done the most hideous of crimes, that child is still a Muslim. He or she is innocent and upon pre-disposition.
The Prophet Muhammad

said, "
No child is born but upon Fitra ( Natural predisposition -- as a Muslim). It is his parents who make him a Jew or a Christian or a Polytheist." (Sahih Muslim, Book 033, Number 6426)
“Nay, Allaah never commands Fahshaa’ (evil deeds, unlawful sexual intercourse). Do you say of Allaah what you know not?” [al-A’raaf 7:28]
So, Homosexuality is not natural. It is if anything something the person does through their own free will OR as a sort of mental illness. It is in the mind.
There have been many documented cases of homosexual men becoming heterosexual. There have been married men, with children who have become homosexual... and then reverted back to heterosexuality... Then you have all those inbetween!!! It seems some people can not make up their own minds! There are others who have even worse ideas, things too sickening to mention here. -
Also, it is evident that a lot of these people did not have a normal healthy childhood. Often, they did not have a strong healthy father figure around. This together with unIslamic upbringing (particularly in western country like USA or UK) has lead to this sort of orientation.
There is a lot to say with regards to homosexuality. They are allowed to repent and stop doing what they do. In a Muslim country, where the Shariah is established, they can be subject to the hudood punishment, which could be death penalty. - This is for those that have not repented and they can cause grievance, problems within society. This is what the Quran has stated as penalty for the practising homosexuals.
What people fail to realise is that, this penalty is only after a proper court case in Islamic court, and where there is ample and clear evidence. It is not done by people, nor are there crazy mobs going around burning houses down. This is not Islam. There is a due process . - In Islamic societies homosexuality was rare and people were very seldom executed for this crime. -- People should also be aware that not all countries that claim to be Islamic implement Islam properly. Often, they are influenced by cultural and deviant ideas. i.e. Iran.
The Disbelieving critics of Islam, those who have darkened hearts and minds, who perhaps are reading this, would perhaps say that homosexuality and all the other problems that their Non-Islamic uncultured barbaric societies have, is normal everywhere. That there is same number of homosexuals in Muslim countries as there are in Non-Muslim countries. They even may claim that such people are too scared of talking about it and hence there is no accurate statistics. (( They also say this as an excuse for their high rate of Rapes, Murder, Child Abuse, Alcoholism, Drug Abuse, Prostitution, Domestic Violence, road rage !!)
Just as it is a well known fact that New York or Los Angeles has higher serious Crime rate than London, these non-Islamic societies have higher rates of crime, abuse, dysfunctional families and weaker societal bonds than predominantly Muslim countries.
A simple holiday for a non-Muslim to a Muslim city, can reflect such a difference.
The disbelievers in Islam often come up with ridiculous selfmade, half-baked theories based on what they percieve to be scientific, balanced thinking. In reality, their ideas are merely based on their narrow minded view of life. They should travel, meet Muslims, learn about Islam.
There are many problems which are the exclusive domain of non-Muslim countries. Particularly those in the West. For example, alcohol related problems, hooliganism, depression etc. These are societal ailments to do with how people are raised and the cultural norms in which they live. - Likewise, now you have new generation of so called "men", now known as metrosexuals. Those are men, who like wearing creams, spend time thinking about their appearance in an over the top way, which would have been deemed non-mascular and effeminate a few years ago. However, now it is seen as normal. It is society which learns its ethics and morals increasingly via the media - be it TV, cinema, newspapers, magazines etc.
Anyway, to keep things simple. Homosexuality is something that comes about from society and a person's own mind. It is not natural.
If you are to speak to anyone, then we start with Tawheed and Aqeedah. It is better the person worships Allah Alone, properly, than he be a Straight Grave worshipping sufi. Yep, Any Gay who is Muslim and who worships Allah properly is better than a Muslim who does the biggest sin of all,
SHIRK!!
Our Ummah is weak today, because people have forgotten the real Islam. They have forgotten the importance of Tawheed. They have no hatred for Shirk. They have No hatred for Kufr (disbelief), they have no hatred for Bidah (innovating matters into Islam). Rather, you will see people focus on things like Hijab, beards, voting in non-Muslim countries, speaking ill of the various Muslim leaders and governments etc etc... even to the stage they will be happy doing Gheebah (backbiting) of other Muslims over things like their appearance. The Hijab is obligatory and is part of Islam as is the beard etc, but these are not the most important priorities we focus on. Our main focus must always start with correct belief in Allah. - There many people with hijab and beard who dont even worship or pray to Allah properly. Even if everyone in the whole world wore a veil and men had beards, it will not benefit them at all. Only these things benefit those people who are the people of Tawheed, those who follow the quran and the sunnah.
REMEMBER:
Shirk is the Sin, that is a person dies upon it, Allah will not forgive that sin!
Allah, the Most High, says, “
Verily! Allaah forgives not setting up partners with Him, but He forgives whom He wills sins other than that, and whoever sets up partners with Allaah in worship, he has indeed invented a tremendous sin.”
(an-Nisaa’: 48)
This is the Quran, it is what Allah tells us.
The Prophet

(sallallaahualaihi wasallam) said, “
The right of Allaah upon His slaves is that they should worship Him alone and not associate anything with Him, and the right of the slaves upon Allaah is that He will not punish the one who does not associate anything with Him.”
If people had an ounce of honour, they would spend their time trying to worship Allah properly, teaching people about Tawheed.. and doing their best to destroy Shirk. You will find, the ones who are most vocal about other things, i.e. who protest about various issue are also the ones who have the least concern for knowing about Tawheed and getting rid of Shirk.
If we Start with a pure, correct foundation of Tawheed and Aqeedah, the Muslims will be united, successful and everything would click into place. - People would know the importance of following the Quran and Sunnah properly. They would take care to follow the authentic hadith. They would develop a great love for the Prophet Muhammad

, his Sahaba, his Tabieen and all the great Imams of Islam who taught the original Islam. -- Therefore, they would adopt the best behaviour and manners. They would know how to treat their wives, their children, their parents, their brothers and sisters, their neighbours, the Muslims and also the non-Muslims. For even Non-Muslims have rights that Muslims must uphold, protect and honour. This is the REAL Honour of a Muslim and of Islam.
It is something that is lost to us today, due to our Ummah being distant from Tawheed. Shirk is prevalent throughout the Muslim world. Its for us to start by teaching ourselves, our families and those around us Islam properly.
Tawheed is something that must never be overlooked. It is the Most important thing for us to learn. Each and every Messenger was sent to earth to teach it !!!!!!! The Quran is the message of Tawheed.
“And We sent a messenger to every nation (proclaiming): 'Worship Allaah and shun false deities!'” [Surah An-Nahl: 36]
Allaah also says:
“And We never sent any messenger before you, except that we revealed to him that 'There is no deity worthy of worship except Me, so worship Me!'” [Surah Al-Anbiyaa: 25]
Tawheed is of three types:
Tawheed al Rububiyyah
The Unity of Allah's Lordship
Tawheed al Ibaadah
The Unity of Allah's worship
Tawheed al Asmaa wa Sifaat.
The unity of Allah's names and attributes.
Fundamental Beliefs in Islam Tawheed and AqeedahUmmah in ConflictSo, whatever sin the person may or may not have committed, our da'wah is always the same. It starts with Tawheed. Tawheed our own foundation block, as well as that of others. It is something we must always constantly try to improve our understanding of.
Allah forgives all sins, lets not forget this beautiful hadith:
Abu Sa’id al-Khudri reported Allah’s Messenger (may peace be upon him) as saying: There was a person before you who had killed ninety-nine persons and then made an inquiry about the learned persons of the world (who could show him the way to salvation). He was directed to a monk. He came to him and told him that he had killed ninety-nine persons and asked him whether there was any scope for his repentance to be accepted. He said: No. He killed him also and thus completed one hundred. He then asked about the learned persons of the earth and he was directed to a scholar, and he told him that he had killed one hundred persons and asked him whether there was any scope for his repentance to be accepted. He said: Yes; what stands between you and the repentance? You better go to such and such land; there are people devoted to prayer and worship and you also worship along with them and do not come to the land of yours since it was an evil land (for you). So he went away and he had hardly covered half the distance when death came to him and there was a dispute between the angels of mercy and the angels of punishment. The angels of mercy said: This man has come as a penitant and remorseful to Allah and the angels of punishment said: He has done no good at all. Then there came another angel in the form of a human being in order to decide between them. He said: You measure the land to which he has drawn near. They measured it and found him nearer to the land where he intended to go (the land of piety), and so the angels of mercy took possession of it. Qatada said that Hasan told him that it was said to them that as death approached him, he crawled upon his chest (and managed) to slip in the land of mercy.

Any person who wishes for forgiveness can achieve it, but they must look sincerely for it and stop from their sin. Get help for it, do what it takes to stop doing the haram actions.
