Assalamualaikum brothers and sisters. Since coming to Islam I'm a new and better person, Alhamdulillah. I've nearly finished learning Salah which is great, Masha'Allah. I have made big sacrifices like no longer watching p*rnography, masturbating, swearing, looking at women in a lustful way etc. In Islam I am fully aware that for one to engage in sexual pleasures the person has to be married. At the moment I'm trying my best to control my desires and it is extremely hard to do so. I know that the Prophet Muhammad (SAW) said to fast to control sexual desires. My goal is to start looking for a wife at the end of the year and get married early next year Insha'Allah. I also know that whoever gives up something for the sake of Allah, Allah will replace it with something better. So I have a few questions
1. How can I keep in control of my desires until I get a wife?,
2. How can I remain patient until Allah replaces my previous desires I used to indulge in with something better?
3. How can I increase my faith during these times?
