:salam2: well from what i know the Prophet salAllahu 'alayhi wasalam used to pray the five daily prayers of course: Fajr (dawn) Zhur (Afternoon) 'Asr (Evening) Maghrib (Sunset) and 'Isha (Night). These five daily prayers are the obligatory prayers. Every Muslim who reaches the age of puberty MUST pray these five daily prayers everyday. The first thing we are going to be asked about on the Day of Judgment are the five daily salah.

THE OPTIONAL PRAYERS
The Prophet SalAllaahu 'alayhi wasalam used to also pray optional prayers. Like sometimes he salAllahu 'alayhi wasalam used to pray salatul Duha which begins 15 minutes after sunset and finishes just about 15 minutes before the Zhur salah begins.
The Prophet salAllaahu 'alayhi wasalam used to also pray tahajjud, every night infact tahajjud was obligatory upon the Prophet salAllaahu 'alayhi wasalam.
Other optional prayers that an indivdual can offer are when he finshes making wudhu, he/she can offer two rak'ah sunnah.
Also, when you go to the Masjid, before you even sit, you can offer tahiyyatul majid which is two rak'ah.

There are many more optional prayers that the Prophet salAllahu 'alayhi wasalam used to offer.
I can post more if you want with hadith references to back them up if you want. :)
