HAPPY RAMADAN to all of u dear brothers and sisters.Well, Ramadan is the month of the Quran, so how much are u planning to read per day?
Here are some suggestions that were given by scholars on Islamic TV channels ( Suit yourselves):

You can finish reading the Quran

1- every 3 days if u finish 10 juzu' daily(WOW) & that's by reading 2 juzu' with each fard (obligatory) prayer

2- every 6 days if u read 5 juzu' daily.( Half a juzu' before ,& another half after, every fard prayer).

3- every 8 days if u read 4 juzu' daily

4- every 10 days if u read 3 juzu' daily

5- every 15 days if u read 2 daily

Or if u'r a beginner , u can just read one juzu' daily to have it finished by the end of the month isa

ANY OTHER SUGGESTIONS?

Pls share ur suggestions and let's see who's the biggest winner on the Eid morning !!!

La ilaha illAllah!
Assalamu alaikum wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuhu!

First of all, I would like to say Ramadan Kareem!

Scondly, I have an objection to do:Do not rush people to read the Qur'an superficially just to be read until Eid.It is such a big mistake.:astag:

The Prophet sallallaahu `alayhi wa sallam said to `Abdullaah ibn `Amr ibn al-`Aas: "Read the Qur'aan in every month." I said: I find that I have more strength than that. He (sallallaahu `alayhi wa sallam) said: "Recite it in every twenty nights." I said: I find that I have more strength than that. He (sallallaahu `alayhi wa sallam) said: "Then recite it in every seven days and do not increase upon that."

'Abdullaah ibn 'Amr ibn al-'Aas also related from the Prophet (sallallaahu `alayhi wa sallam) that he said: "He does not understand the Qur'aan who recites it in less than three days "

Umar ibn 'Abdul-Waahid, a companion of al-Awzaa'ee said: We read in al-Muwattaa to Maalik (d. 179H) in forty days, so he said: "A book that took me forty years to compile, you take from me in forty days! How little you understand of it."

Al-Khateeb al-Baghdaadee said: "It is fitting that he takes care in acquiring knowledge and that he should not take too much in one go. Rather, he should take a little at a time, such that he can bear it., memorize it and be able to understand it. Because Allaah says which means: "And those who disbelieve say: Why is the Qur’aan not send down to him all at once? Thus (is it sent down in parts) that We may strengthen your heart thereby. And We have revealed it to you gradually, in stages."

Al-Khateeb also said: "And know that the heart in an organ from the organs. It is able to bear somethings and unable to bear others—just like the rest of the body. Thus, some people are able to carry one-hundred pounds, whereas others are unable to carry even twenty. Some people are able to walk a number of miles in a day without tiring, whereas others are unable to even walk a mile a day before they become tired... So let each person limit himself to what he is able without expending all his energies, because that will better aid him in learning with a good mind, from a firm and proficient teacher.''

So we should read as much as we are capable and not more, better to read less but t understand than to read much and not to understand.

May Allah be pleased with us all and accept our fast!Ameen:tti_sister:

:salam2:dear sister

,gazaky Allah khair for your point, but the hadith of Abdullah ibn Amr ibn Al 'Aas does not in any way contradict what's mentioned in my post. The post actually includes all the options that the Prophet ( PBUH ) gave to Abdullah ibn Amr ( May Allah be pleased w h ) bearing in mind that u'll find among us people who may have the time & strength to read more than others. So nobody's rushing people to read superficially, people are free to choose whichever option suits them. As for contemplating the meanings of Quran, i think we can do this in the remaining 11 months of the year, especially that rewards are multiplied in Ramadan , which is itself the month of the Quran.Anyway, Ramadan Kareem and the following quote comes from ISLAM QA

Completing the Qur’aan in Ramadaan, whether during prayer or outside prayer, is something that is praiseworthy. Jibreel (peace be upon him) used to review the Qur’aan with the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) every Ramadaan, and in the Prophet’s last year he reviewed it with him twice.
