Just married!

Asslamo Allaikum Brother,

Being married and waiting for your wife to arrive can be a tremendously exhausting and stressful experience.

Brother! You are married and the woman is now YOUR SOLE responsibility. It is your DUTY to look after her physical, emotional and financial needs as Allah (SWT) has commanded you to do so in the Qur’aan. Allah (SWT) has made you a man and it is time for you to fulfil your obligations and responsibilities, Insha’Allah.

What does all that mean?

It means that you communicate (phone, email, write etc.) and ensure that she is fine and happy and she is not in any kind of need, Insha’Allah.

It is from human nature for you to feel lonely and desire companionship. My brother Allah (SWT) commands us to seek GOOD companionship and avoid BAD companionship. Go out of your way to seek Good Muslims and enjoy life in a HALAL (Islamically permissible) manner. Travel a little further if you have to.

But if the Muslims in your area are engaged in HARAM (Islamically impermissible)activities then AVOID them and seek solitude (be alone) and Allah (SWT) will reward you for exercising patience.

You will find that you will miss your wife a lot when you are ALONE so go back to my previous suggestion and engage in HALAL (Islamically permissible) activities i.e. sports, Masjid, Islamic circles, outdoor activities, travelling and AVOID being ALONE because Shaytaan prays on people who are alone and leads them ASTRAY.

Insha’Allah you will be in our duas.

Brother, you are in the most beautiful relationship that could ever take place on earth. Your wife is your responsibility. As it has been said already, keep in touch as much as you can untill she can come to you. Engage in halal activities and who says spending too much time with your wife would start an argument? You MUST realise, there is never enough time to spend with the ones you love, you love her right ? Ofcourse you do, rather spend as much time with her as possible...

may Allah unite the two of you soon...

Salaam,

Kind of off topic but are "theonlystar" and "hello" the same person? They both use all caps and have a wife waiting for Visa to come in country. Maybe some confusion signing up?
