I Am

I am an American Muslim (convert)
I wonder why people hate me so much for being happy
I hear God telling me to be strong, to give people time, they well come around
I see happiness that follows off of people in blue and pink swirls
I want my own mother to at least look at me with a smile
I am an American Muslim (convert)

I pretend to listen when people give me lectures of why my religion is going to Hell (Fire)
I feel sad that my happiness and peace is not working for everyone.
I touch my dua'a's and rug every moment for strength
I worry that my family hates me and that they won't talk to me
I cry when my mother tells me that Christianity is the only way
I am an American Muslim (convert)

I understand that everyone is allowed to have their own thoughts and feelings
I say "Allah U Akbar" when He gives me something great
I dream about bringing peace to the world, and to stop wars, global warming, starving children... everything that is hurting people mentally and physically
I try to speak the truth about Islam and Muslims everyday, because many people don't understand
I hope to help one person in my life find peace in God

How can you say it doesnt make any sense? Its beautiful! I was thinking of writing along the same lines, but I dont think I will be able to do it as good as you. But anyway, when I am in the right mindset, I will dig up this thread and give it a go. You did a really good job though.

Thank you so much for all the compliments, but I can't take total credit. I did one of these peoms in high school and that is were I got the basic outline.

Plus mine is nothing compared to some of yours on here. They're awesome. I hope more people will start posting cause they are pretty easy and a great way to find out more about yourself. It makesyou think deep and that is get to reflect on.

i hear the magnificient voice of rasulullah
i see the arrogance of many leading them astray
I want to attain Jannah someday
