I don't understand *confused*

Assalamu Alaikum Warahmatullah Wabarakatuh

Please bear with me and inshallah don’t take this thread the wrong way. I seriously need some answers..

First of all we live in an area where most Muslims are indo-Pakistan, Bengali. The thing is they have a very small room for kids [girls] to be taught Qur’an and the person who is teaching them is a sister. Now the thing that worries me the most is not the fact that they have small space for this kids but the fact that they don’t have a proper teacher for the girls. mashAllah the little boys have many learned teachers they know the I'lmul qiraat and tajweed mashallah and they are full time teachers.. I want them to teach my little sister my plan is that she finishes the Quran by the age of 13 inshallah..I took my brother when he was 9 and now almost 13 and nearly finishing the Quran and his qiraat is so beautiful mashallah.

I asked my brother to ask the teachers why they don’t want to teach the little girls and his reply was their voice is Awrah!!!! for Allah sake the kids there are less than 12years besides they dont allow 12+. I want my sister to be out of there before she reaches the stage where her voice is considered awrah…All my teachers who taught me Quran were male I never had a female teacher.

My little sister is so determined mashallah and she has already memorised 5 juz/para.…My brother teaches her during the weekend when he gets the time but I want her to have a proper teacher..kids learn better when they have a teacher.

If you are from the above tribe can you explain to me why girls are not educated [religion wise] or at least given a fair chance? I know sometimes girls tend to lag behind but some of them really want to learn but they are not given the chance. I seriously dont understand :S

I honestly believe what they are doing is wrong because everyone has the right to be educated be a male or female.

PS: the sister who is a teacher doesnt teach memorization but just how to read the quran.

Happy 2BA Muslim

Islamophilic

The woman’s voice is not ‘awrah in principle, for women used to complain to the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him), and ask him about Islamic matters. They also did that with the Rightly-Guided Khaleefahs (may Allaah be pleased with them) and the rulers after them. And they would greet non-mahram men with salaams and return greetings, and none of the imams of Islam denounced them for that. But it is not permissible for a woman to speak in a soft or alluring voice, because Allaah says (interpretation of the meaning):

“O wives of the Prophet! You are not like any other women. If you keep your duty (to Allaah), then be not soft in speech, lest he in whose heart is a disease (of hypocrisy, or evil desire for adultery) should be moved with desire, but speak in an honourable manner”

[al-Ahzaab 33:32]

because men may be tempted by that, as is indicated by this aayah. And Allaah is the source of strength.
