I need serious UNDERSTANDING....

Today I decided to visit another web site, and got sooooo confused. I have been a practing muslim 4about 11yrs, and Ive always referred to the Quran and Sunnah of the teaching of the Prophet Muhammed(saw)...from Sahih bukhari, muslim, occational tirmidi if avalailable, I love to entertain books written from Uthaymeen, bin bazz, umm abdullillaah al Waadiyah, shayk abdur-razzaak al abbaad, ibn Qayyim alJuziyyah, ......etc, Jus to name a few from my library. as well as lectures online from trusted sources like Authentic statements, dawah publications, salafi publications and youtube. my concern came when I saw the dispute of salaf vs sunni and the ties to wahabism(spellcheck) Ive always thought sunni was salafi as salafi were sunni, until recently was added salafe saali following of the salafi dawah, because of sum confusment of bidah from sum claiming to be from sunni? I trust TTI cause Ive been a member since 2004 under a diffenet names from many relocations and forgetting paswords and changing of emails, but watever. sum1 plz help me..:tti_sister:

hello sister ..
before many years there was a shaikh called " Muhammad bin Abdul wahhab " he was following Qur'an & Sunnah so he was Sunni ..
he & early Saudis rulers helped each other to establish the Saudi Country and to spread Islam ..
The enemies of them called us ( I meant my self & Sunni people ) wahabi coz they say we follow the shaikh but we dont follow Qur'an & Sunnah .. although both are same


anyway , the main thing in Islam is Qur'an & Sunnah , and this what we follow

Please check e-books on this website--> www.salafimanhaj.com They will clear up lot of confusion being created by some people (Muslims and Non-Mulsims) about Islaam in our times.

And have detailed explanation of them.

u r doing right thing by following Quran and sunnah and opinoins of famous ulama.

in this way u can keep urself away frm sects. and i'll advice u not to study deep about differences between scholars. the things might confuse u.

we follow prophet's (peace be upon him) sunnah - we are sunni
we follow salaf (previous pious people) - we are salafi.

muslims in first three generations avoided asking Allah for dead saints intercession, prophet's birthday and many other new acts. but now if muslims avoid them, they are labeled as 'Wahabi'.

PS: actually Wahhaab is Allah's name, so ppl make mistake when they use it for these remarks.
