ILM (Knowledege)

Assalamu aleikum,

The first aya which came down to our beloved Prophet (s.a.w) was "READ".Its important in our life we learn everything for the sake of Allah (s.w).We learn so that we know our Rabb very well of what He wants us to do in this world.Quran has a lot of knowledge but we muslim ignore and it was taken away by the non muslims. They learn the Quran well and managed to take the advantage with them.In todays world we lack the knowledge and that make us weak.If we did take it seriously then the world could have been a peaceful place to stay.Allah (s.w) has already said in the Quran that the one with knowledge and the one without cannot be the same and our beloved Prophet (s.a.w) also said in his hadith that One should seek for knowldge even if its in china.
Why is the knowledge importance?
Just look of todays world,Muslims are suffering alot and die.We dont have the knowledge to protect ourselves. We forget about Allah, what we learn and teach ourselves in this world is to help ourselves to get a luxury life but not for the sake of Allah. We dont want to learn more to know our Rabb and this is why our Rabb is forgetting about us too.(Maishatan dhanka)
Knowledge has no age it came to our prophet when he was around 40's so its not a shame to find it even if your 60's as long you still breath then there is always time even to learn a single aya from the Quran.
So lets try hard to guide our societies in seeking knowledge and inshallah Allah will give us knowledge and guide us the right way and protect us from our enemies.Amin!
Its important that whenever there is a debate on something dont argue if you dont have the knowledge of what your talking about it might lead others to the wrong way.:astag:
So when a muslim give an example with the proof of sunnah and Quran then you dont have to disagree but try to learn more and find out where the misunderstanding is coming.Patience is important and we cannot have the whole knowledge at once we need time to learn and not only learning but practising too.

This website Mashallah is very good and inshallah we will all learn more and learn to teach others too.

Please correct me anywhere am wrong because am still learning too,Allah is the only perfect.

Alhamdulillah!
This is very true!!! Each one of us needs to ask for knowledge of Allah. And as you stated, we need to be 'grounded' in the Qur'an and Sunnah so we cannot say something that could be misleading by our own shallow minds of ignorance at times, even when we have good intentions.

Allah gave us another chance through the Qur'an to read what he has for each of us. He tried to send this information throughout life in the Torah, the Bible (book), and now it is finally done in the Qur'an. Throughout man's mistakes, Allah continued to forgive us and give us another chance to know him. Why would he bother sending the Angel Gabriel to Daniel in the lions den and then to Mary to have a son, then again to the prophet Muhammad? Why is Allah doing this??? Allah does not need us to help him create anything.... Allah did this for US!!!! I want to live in the world Allah has waiting for me in Paradise. I do not deserve it, but he offers it for each of us if we want to be with him forever!

Your post is a great wake-up call for us when we slack away from what is important. Thank you.

:jazaak: that's true brother. May Allah give us more and more benificial knowledge.

:salam2: ,
yes Ilm is very important and we need to acquire it, but need also to apply the knowledge or ilm that we learn and teach each other.

I agree that we should pray to Allah for more ilm and help us follow an islamic life with that knowledge.

Assalamu Alaykum, what you said is nice and beautiful, jazakallahu khayr brother.

Also, one must remember that knowledge of Islam is a gift from Allah :swt:
It could be leading to the greatest reward, which is paradise. But, only if we implement the knowledge and are sincere in our actions...
