Salamu alaykum

It is not from islam, that we give predictions/explanations on the issues concerning our religion without having authentic proof from the quraan and the sunnah. Imam Mahdi has been mentioned in many authentic hadith. Allah sva will make him a riches person over night. He will come before the day of judgment and bring justice on earth. He will come during the time when isa as (jesus pbuh) will decend and will fight with him and other believers against the masih ad-dajjal and the jews. Al-mahdi will be a riches khalifah. This is one of glad news, which shows that muslims will have a riches khalifah inshAllah onece again. Here below, i have provided few links where you can read more.

Salamu alaykum

Try to read the links first, im sure u might find the answer there. In one hadith it says that his name will be just like Resulullah's swas name, his father will be called just like father of resulullah s.va. There are many other characteristics that some of the hadiths describe him. Also, there will be still scholars inshAllah who will be able to judge. Also, there will be minor signs and major signs occuring before, during, and after he comes.

He will be inspired by Allah sva, and he'll know. Plus, isa a.s will come during his time to so im sure he will know as he is a prophet of Allah.

As-salamu'alaykum,

I've heard from some people who are from India that some high Scholars there believe Imam Mahdi is already alive and not just a young kid either. Maybe around 20 years old or so, but Allah(swt) knows for sure.
