I dont get it because a lot of people say bin but i think its ibn or do they both mean the same thing? I know its a stupid question but i dont want to say it wrong. Some people say for example Umar Ibn Al Khattab radiallahuanhu while others say Umar Bin Al Khattab, which ones the right way to say it?

I wonder about this too. I tried to find an answer, but didn't find anything satisfactory. It seems either can be correct, just repeat names how you hear them, in shaa Allah.

It seems Umar Ibn Al Khattab is more usual.
