Anti-Islamic protestors in Britain have once again gathered to protest against the building of a minaret on a mosque in north London.
The latest face off between anti-Islamic demonstrators and anti-fascist counter-protesters, took place amidst heavy police presence.
Only two months ago the same area witnessed violent clashes over the issue, where police arrested at least ten people.
No arrests were made on Sunday, as the protest passed-off peacefully.
The nationalist demonstrators, affiliated to the English Defense League (EDL) and the Stop Islamization of Europe (SIOE), are angry with the height of this minaret over Harrow Central Mosque in north London.
They claim that the symbolic architecture is a sign of Islamic dominance in a secular Christian country, Press TV's London correspondent Roshan Muhammed Salih reported.
While the anti-Islam demonstrators — many of which covered their faces — were not able to garner much support, it is believed that they represent a wider constituency in the UK, who are suspicious of Islam and Muslims.
Amid new waves of Islamophobic campaigns, the once-minor ultra-right groups in Britain have gained momentum, spreading their propaganda across Europe
