What to begin with???
62 years of bloodshed costing numerous precious lives on both sides of so-called border. Spreading hatred ideas about people on other side and confusing the world community about what actually is happening in one of the most beautiful place Allah has created on Earth.

That's right my dear Brothers and Sisters. I'm talking about our Kashmir, the land of Apples and beautiful scenery and civilized people. But now all we hear is sound of bullets and bombs killing my brothers and sisters living in the valley, atrocities by Indian forces, unstated killings by Militants and most of all giving out bad impressions about Islam.

I have started this thread hoping brothers and sisters from both side would come together, share their knowledge, state their stand and argue their point of view in the Light of Koran and Sunnah with the guidance of Allah.

I'm pretty sure none who follows Islam backs the killing of Innocent people regardless of their nationalities and even their faith and religion. And also it is not our culture to kill a creation of Allah just because our nation warrants it. I started this thread because this morning I came to know that militants killed a three year old boy and his father in shopian area of Kashmir. So please participate and back your points with Ayahs and Hadiths.

FYI: I'm from India and faraway from kashmir that I dont exactly know whats happening in the valley. Also I'm not a patriot (meaning i dont support killing a man/women/children just because of my country).

:astag: the indian army is doing the very wrong thing by killing the innocents...espasialy women, children and old people. Islam has always preached about peace and freedom. I'm a Pakistani but it hurts me very much to think that here i am sitting in a comfortable house with everything i could possibly want...but my brothers and sisters out there are getting killed...homeless..helpless....
Children losing parents...Parents losing their beloved kids....
India and Pakistan have long shared hatred between them...but i think that they should not take that hatred out on innocents....Kashmir has nothing to do with Pakistan's or India's troubles.
I wish i could do and really do something to help the brave kashmir brothers and sisters. May Allah have mercy on us all muslims. Ameen.

thanks for ur view sister. Until recently I don't even know that our military is doing all the wrong deeds in the valley. Can you believe that?? We are that much mislead and misinformed by the media.

But the truth to be told, numerous loss of lives are caused by the terrorist attacks also. And they call themselves 'Jihadhis'???? They are changing the very meaning of 'Jihad'. And my deepest worry is that there are few (very few, I wish) among us who support their stand.

Anyway. I don't think this thread is getting enough attention. So i copy paste my first post in TTI Lounge. Give your feeds there and consider this thread as closed.

When you keep on chasing a cat, it will keep on running until you connerred the cat at one dead end. Believe me, the helpless cat will suddenly turn to be a lion and will do all it can to defend it self from being harm. The same situation Muslims are facing in Kashmir, Palestine, Iraq, Afganistan, southern Thailand and elsewhere. I would agree with the title of this thread, these states need to have dialogue instead of war. But I believe Kashmir should be an independent state, not part of Pak or India.

You must understand that all the indian news media is backing their government from past 62 years and have been successful in hiding the truth about kashmir to civilians across indian states as i m sure they will feel shameful not stopping their butcher government who is massacaring the civilian Kashmiris who are fighting a just freedom struggle from 62 years because indian govt illegally occupied Kashmir region which it accepted by accepting the UN resolutions on Kashmir.

The truth is we kashmiris have been suffering from the Indian state sponsored terrorism from india and by indian security forces who are on every inch in Kashmir oppressing, raping, killing Kashmiris in the region

We Kashmiris have been fighting a peaceful freedom struggle and only when the world community was a mute spectator and their was no change in Indian states behaviour in terms of accepting the wishes of Kashmiri people, we started an armed struggle in addition to a largely peaceful freedom struggle to add another way to the freedom struggle.

The mujahideen/ militants in Kashmir are disciplined and dont harm any civilian of any relgion , but it is the indian army and paramiliatary which many a times disguise of militants/ mujahideen commit crimes like the one in Shopian recently, wishing that kashmiris oppose militants ( this will never happen). Many such cases on investigation clearly showed indian army and paramiliaty and police culprits for such crimes.

To give you some statistics of the crimes committed by Indian army and the Indian state against the kashmiris asking for freedom from brutal indian state, here is the one :

But problem is that Pakistan separated from India.But India wants Pakistan to again come in the fold of united India.It's still building dams to block rivers in kashmir.It is creating problems for Pakistan via Afghanistan.

So whats the dialogue.

I m not saying any thing against indian people.My relatives still live in India.We migrated from India some of them remained there.the fact is that there is just too much jingoism on both sides.

"Two groups in my Umma will be freed by Allah from hell fire, One which will conquer India and the other which will be with Hazrat Esa (AS).

Holy Prophet (PBUH) Told Hazrat Abu Huraira (RA):
"From the Umat (Followers of Islam currently) there will be a rise of Battalions from Sindh (Indus) and Hind (Sub-continent). If I got opportunity to be part of such a movement and if I martyred then it is good, if I returned alive I will be like free Abu Huraira who is freed from Hell by Allah"

So I guess there are too many differences .

you are not being harsh brother, rather you are stating the truth. As an Indian, there are many a times we are angered by my country's atrocities in Kashmir, Gujarat and elsewhere in India where muslims are oppressed, killed and made to face unending miseries. The state of Muslims in India is way more complicated than the world thinks.

Pls give me the reference of the Hadith you have quoted. Without doubt, I too want my country to be an Islamic Emirate. Insha Allah.


@a Kashmiri - Those figures are really painful to know. We can do nothing but invoke Allah's help with our du'a.

I read the first one in an Nasai in our local masjid.Then I searched one net and found this


Thawban - may Allah be pleased with him - that the Messenger of Allah (sallallahu 'alaihi wa sallam) said, "Two groups of my Ummah Allah has protected from the hellfire: a group that will conquer India and a group that will be with 'Eessa son of Maryam - 'alaihimas- salat was-salaam." (Ahmad, an-Nisa'i, and at-Tabarani.). This is mentioned in Tarikh Al Firishta, Tarikh AL Baghdadi. Nasrudhin Albani says this is a Sahih Hadith.


Na'im son of Hammad , The teacher of Imam Bukhari in al-Fitan reports that Abu Hurayrah - may Allah be pleased with him - said that the Messenger of Allah (sallallahu 'alaihi wa sallam) mentioned India and said, "A group of you will conquer India, Allah will open for them [India] until they come with its kings chained - Allah having forgiven their sins - when they return back [from India], they will find son of Maryam in Syria."


While Abu Hurayrah said, "The Messenger of Allah (sallallahu 'alaihi wa sallam) promised us the conquest of India. If I was to come across that I will spend my soul and wealth. If I am killed then I am among the best of martyrs. And if I return then I am Abu Hurayrah the freed." (Ahmad, an-Nisa'i, and al-Hakim.)
