The Prophet Muhammad s.a.w performing prayer in the ka'baah.

I remenbered was told by my ustadz that
the prophet Muhammad had made several visit on special occasion to perform prayer in the ka'baah!
Not by standing position but by lying on his back!This is because the ka'baa serve as a kiblah(Kiblat/ direction)that our body has to turn and face to!And when one were inside the respective ka'baah to perform prayer one has to do solat as to lying on one back to do prayer the ruku and sujud !Allah swt is up there(in heaven)!
