I am new here, hoping to learn more about Islam from this website.Alhamdulillah, I was born into muslim family, and I am gradually trying to memorize The Quran(so if you have any tips and suggestions about memorizing pls post me)so thats all about me now.

I find memorizing Quran is made simple by learning what it means, relating it to my life and then learning how to recite it with a good recitor and then going to the park and doing some laps walking repeating the ayat one at time and going over the previous until it sinks in.

Then when I have gained firm memory of the ayat, I go to someone who knows or has a Quran and go over my recitation.

It may sound slow and it is in the beginning, but after time you get to a page or more in very short period of time.

The most important thing to remember is set a goal you can achieve and define the overall reason you are doing it. Read them daily and go over and over again, to help you stay focused.

By walking and doing it you get 2 benefits out of one.

lastly, remember the most significant thing; that is to ask Allah subhanna wata3alla to make it easy for u, I will for u.

Oh I forgot to mention,

If you live in the USA, put on some fake headphones because people will look at you funny or may even interrupt you and ask if you are ok.

but with the fake headphones they will think you are listening to music and not bother you.

When i memorize the Quran I read the whole page.. I reread until i get then i ask some1 to listen to me.. Then i read the next page and do the same to the rest.. If u want u can memorize half of the page then do the rest of the half.. It depends on how slow or fast u are.. May Allah make it easy for u and to the rest of the Ummah.. Ameen
