Is chocolate produced in europe halal?

I love chocolates. Recently my friend (non-muslim) gave me few bars of chocolates she brought from Brussel. It is very temping for me to consume it, but I heard peoples said most of chocolates produced in western countries were added alcohol as its ingredient eventhough it was not mentioned in written ingredient. Is it true? I will discard it if it is true. Sorry, 4 asking this trivial question.

there are many ingredients now adays that contain impure haram stuff. hot cheetos and so on. they have the ingredient called "enzymes" that one is one of the few i know that has haram product it in. here is a link which can tell you what's haram and what's not. it was done by many muslims who put their heads together to warn us. salam
