Is ice cream haram?

I hope everyone is in good health and imaan.

PLEASE note this question is not by me but one of my relative who kept asking me about ice-creams and creams...when i even answered and explained this to him for more than a thousand times. So, he had this question again and i posted this in TTI for his reference so he will be getting the proper specific answers from you guys,thanks in advance!

I heard that ice cream is haram? Is that really true? I found this unbelievable when i first heard this. Pls tell me more about it if you know.

Halal is an Arabic word meaning lawful or permitted. The opposite of Halal is Haram, which means unlawful or prohibited. Halal and Haram are universal terms that apply to all facets of life. On food these terms too relation to food products, meat products, cosmetics, personal care products, food ingredients, and food contact materials.

All foods are considered Halal except the following, which are Haram:

.Swine/pork and its by-products
.Animals improperly slaughtered or dead before slaughtering
.Animals killed in the name of anyone other than ALLAH (God)
.Alcohol and intoxicants
.Carnivorous animals, birds of prey and land animals without external ears
.Blood and blood by-products
.Foods contaminated with any of the above products


~Foods containing ingredients such as enzymes, emulsifiers, enzymes, emulsifiers, etc. are questionable (Mashbooh) if the origin of these ingredients is not known.As the factor of gelatine, enzymes, emulsifiers can came from halal sources too like halal gelatin from Vegetable, of origin coz gelatine does not only came from pork.So read wisely.But if otherwise unstated and there's that if you still in doubt leave the food!Best to consult the Islamic Ministry in your place for details.


Like wise in your question about if that ice cream is haram ?That if there's any unpurities and like haram or not halal associated to it! Check the ingrediences before consuming.

it depends on the ice-cream ingredients. if its ingredients are halaal, ice-cream is halaal.

but if it has pork gelatin, alcohol, etc. then its haraam.

and with Allah lies all success.
