well, is this true?...people make many cartoon movies of prophets .i saw one of the movie of muhammad(.s.a.w) in cartoon . .they show the pictures of abu jahl, abu talil, abu lahab, bilal (r.a.a.)...but they dont show muhammad(s.a.w), , hamza(r.a.a), and many of muhammad(s.a.w)'s wife.......but, should those kind of cartoons..is it permitted in islam, or prohibited?...i saw this from youtube.com ' http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F-Dd1GoT0to'

very good question. i too thought about it.

well, two opinions of scholars.

1. not permissible at all

2. permissible but prophets or sahabas should not be shown. plus no music
