Is Listening Music fine?

i just want to ask that is listening to music is fine? because in my country and like all over the world it is widely listened and enjoyed, but we are muslims so is it suitable for us to listen to it, moreover it is a part of our country's wedding culture.i am pointing the music such as indian and english.
