Is this a Sahih Hadith?

Can someone tell me if this is authentic? I came upon this for the first time on some website:

When Mustawrid al-Qurashi was sitting with 'Amr ibn al-'As, he said, "I heard the Prophet say, 'The Hour will come when the Romans will be in the majority.' 'Amr asked him, "What are you saying?" He said, "I am repeating that which I heard from the Prophet." 'Amr said, "If you say this, it is true, because they have four good characteristics: they are the most able to cope with tribulation, the quickest to recover after disaster and to return to the fight after disaster, and are the best as far as treating the poor, weak and orphans is concerned. They have a fifth characteristic which is very good; they do not allow themselves to be oppressed by their kings."

Welcome to the site. Tabassum is a sister. Can you please provide evidence that it is not in fact a hadeeth? If I'm correct, Ibn Katheer mentions it in Al-Bidaayah wan-Nihaayah. I have definitely seen at least two of the people of knowledge cite this hadeeth.

Mustaurid al-Qurashi reported: I heard Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon him) as saying: The Last Hour would come (when) the Romans would form a majority amongst people. 'Amr said to him (Mustaurid Qurashi): See what you are saying? He said: I say what I heard from Allah's Messenger (may peace be upon him). Thereupon he said: If you say that, it is a fact for they have four qualities. They have the patience to undergo a trial and immediately restore themselves to sanity after trouble and attack again after flight. They (have the quality) of being good to the destitute and the orphans, to the weak and, fifthly, the good quality in them is that they put resistance against the oppression of kings.

حدثنا عبد الله حدثني أبي ثنا علي بن عياش ثنا ليث بن سعد ثنا موسى بن علي عن أبيه عن المستورد الفهري انه قال لعمرو بن العاص : تقوم الساعة والروم أكثر الناس فقال له عمرو بن العاص أبصر ما تقول قال أقول لك ما سمعت من رسول الله صلى الله عليه و سلم فقال عمرو بن العاص ان تكن قلت ذاك ان فيهم لخصالا أربعا انهم لأسرع الناس كرة بعد فرة وانهم لخير الناس لمسكين وفقير وضعيف وانهم لأحلم الناس عند فتنة والرابعة حسنة جميلة وانهم لأمنع الناس من ظلم الملوك

هذا الحديث ذُكر في صحيح مسلم كتاب الفتن وأشراط الساعة في باب تقوم الساعة والروم أكثر الناس


ونصه كالتالي

حدثنا عبدالملك بن شعيب بن الليث‏.‏ حدثني عبدالله بن وهب‏.‏ أخبرني الليث بن سعد‏.‏ حدثني موسى بن علي عن أبيه، قال‏:‏ قال المستورد القرشي، عند عمرو بن العاص‏:‏

سمعت رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم يقول ‏"‏تقوم الساعة والروم أكثر الناس‏"‏‏.‏ فقال له عمرو‏:‏ أبصر ما تقول‏.‏ قال‏:‏ أقول ما سمعت من رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم‏.‏ قال‏:‏ لئن قلت ذلك، إن فيهم لخصالا أربعا‏:‏ إنهم لأحلم الناس عند فتنة‏.‏ وأسرعهم إفاقة بعد مصيبة‏.‏ وأوشكهم كرة بعد فرة‏.‏ وخيرهم لمسكين ويتيم وضعيف‏.‏ وخامسة حسنة وجميلة‏:‏ وأمنعهم من ظلم الملوك‏.‏

Al-Mustawrid al-Qurashi said to ‘Amr ibn al-‘Aas: “I heard the Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) say: ‘The Hour will begin when the Romans are the greatest people in number.’” ‘Amr said, “Watch what you say!” He said, “I am saying what I heard from the Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him).” He said, “If you say that, it is a fact, for they have four qualities. They are the most patient of people at times of tribulation; they recover quickly from calamity; they are quick to recover and attack again after defeat; and they are good to the poor, orphans and the weak. And a fifth good quality that they have is that they resist the oppression of kings.” Narrated by Muslim, 2889. .
